The Story of Manny Pacquiao begins in General Santos City, Philippines. He was born on December 17th, 1978. We can't begin telling the story of Manny Pacquiao without examining the hard life of Manny Pacquiao. He was born into devastating poverty and was forced to work at a very young age after his father left the family for another woman.

Manny Pacquiao worked in the hardcore streets of General Santos City selling breads and other bakery goods. Those same streets helped in the development of the tough and relentless individual we see in the ring today. Also known as Pacman do to the way he gobbles up his rivals in the ring, Manny began fighting for a few dollars in the streets. These fights were brutal but soon Manny Pacquiao gained a reputation for being a very tough fighter, and showing incredible grit and determination when fighting opponents that were much larger than him. Even at a young age Manny displayed the speed and left handed power that has made him one of the most exciting boxers of his era.

Manny Pacquiao's mother however was not a fan. She was very religious and had hoped her son would join the priesthood. Manny's popularity increased around the city and people began taking notice of this scrawny kid with a hammer for a left hand. Without permission Manny set off to Manila to pursue his career with hopes of becoming a star in order to help his mother and family.

The story of Manny Pacquiao was still far from a fairy tale. His time in Manila was not easy. He trained for hours and had to work just as hard to earn a living. Manny worked in construction and also in the gym where he trained doing odd jobs which included janitor. Manny was undeterred and reeled of an eleven fight winning streak before tasting defeat for the very first time in 1996 vs Rustico Torrecampo who knocked Manny Pacquiao out. This was a devastating loss for Manny. The life of Manny Pacquiao could have taken a different turn after this period. He considered quitting boxing and going back home. The thoughts of going back as a failure and to continued and never ending poverty re-ignited Pacman to fight again.
He set off on another winning streak and defeated the WBC flyweight champion Chatchai Sasakul in 1998. Finally Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao had reached one of his goals and it seemed his career was about to take off. He successfully defended his crown in the very next fight but his stint as flyweight champion was short lived as he got knocked out by Medgoen Singsurat in his second title defense. Another set back in the story of Manny Pacquiao. Disappointed but undaunted Manny continued training in hopes of another big fight and opportunity.

Manny received that opportunity in June of 2001 when he faced IBF Bantamweight Champion Lehlohonolo Ledwaba. Manny fought and impressive fight, knocking out the tough champion in the sixth round. Winning the IBF belt in Las Vegas in such impressive fashion opened a lot of doors for Manny Pacquiao in the United States which is undeniably the largest boxing market in the world. Manny Pacquiao defended his title until 2003 when he gave it up and moved to a higher weight class which included the likes of Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera and Juan Manuel Marquez, three Mexican legends. He avenged a loss versus Morales and beat him in the third match which sent the great Morales into retirement. He fought and destroyed Barrera and then faced Juan Manuel Marquez in a truly exciting bout. Marques was dropped three times in the first round and fought valiantly to get a draw. In the rematch Pacquiao was awarded what many considered a controversial win.

The story of Manny Pacquiao continues as he faces his toughest opponent on December 6, 2008 in Las Vegas. He will be facing Oscar De La Hoya and will be fighting at 147 pounds. It remains to be seen if Manny Pacquiao made a wise decision in going up in weight to fight a true welterweight and living legend in Oscar De La Hoya. This may be a Mexican he cannot defeat!

Ang pagtayo ko dito ngayon ay patunay na kayo ang aking tunay na lakas. Hindi ko inakala na darating tayo sa puntong ito, na ako’y manunumpa sa harap ninyo bilang inyong Pangulo. Hindi ko pinangarap maging tagapagtaguyod ng pag-asa at tagapagmana ng mga suliranin ng ating bayan.

Ang layunin ko sa buhay ay simple lang: maging tapat sa aking mga magulang at sa bayan bilang isang marangal na anak, mabait na kuya, at mabuting mamamayan.

Nilabanan ng aking ama ang diktaturya at ibinuwis niya ang kanyang buhay para tubusin ang ating demokrasya. Inalay ng aking ina ang kanyang buhay upang pangalagaan ang demokrasyang ito. Ilalaan ko ang aking buhay para siguraduhin na ang ating demokrasya ay kapaki-pakinabang sa bawat isa. Namuhunan na kami ng dugo at handang gawin itong muli kung kinakailangan.

Tanyag man ang aking mga magulang at ang kanilang mga nagawa, alam ko rin ang problema ng ordinaryong mamamayan. Alam nating lahat ang pakiramdam na magkaroon ng pamahalaang bulag at bingi. Alam natin ang pakiramdam na mapagkaitan ng hustisya, na mabalewala ng mga taong pinagkatiwalaan at inatasan nating maging ating tagapagtanggol.

Kayo ba ay minsan ring nalimutan ng pamahalaang inyong iniluklok sa puwesto? Ako rin. Kayo ba ay nagtiis na sa trapiko para lamang masingitan ng isang naghahari-hariang de-wangwang sa kalsada? Ako rin. Kayo ba ay sawang-sawa na sa pamahalaang sa halip na magsilbi sa taumbayan ay kailangan pa nila itong pagpasensiyahan at tiisin? Ako rin.

Katulad ninyo ako. Marami na sa atin ang bumoto gamit ang kanilang paa – nilisan na nila ang ating bansa sa kanilang paghahanap ng pagbabago at katahimikan. Tiniis nila ang hirap, sinugod ang panganib sa ibang bansa dahil doon may pag-asa kahit kaunti na dito sa atin ay hindi nila nakikita. Sa iilang sandali na sarili ko lang ang aking inaalala, pati ako ay napag-isip din – talaga bang hindi na mababago ang pamamahala natin dito? Hindi kaya nasa ibang bansa ang katahimikang hinahanap ko? Saan ba nakasulat na kailangang puro pagtitiis ang tadhana ng Pilipino?

Ngayon, sa araw na ito – dito magwawakas ang pamumunong manhid sa mga daing ng taumbayan. Hindi si Noynoy ang gumawa ng paraan, kayo ang dahilan kung bakit ngayon, magtatapos na ang pagtitiis ng sambayanan. Ito naman ang umpisa ng kalbaryo ko, ngunit kung marami tayong magpapasan ng krus ay kakayanin natin ito, gaano man kabigat.

Sa tulong ng wastong pamamahala sa mga darating na taon, maiibsan din ang marami nating problema. Ang tadhana ng Pilipino ay babalik sa tamang kalagayan, na sa bawat taon pabawas ng pabawas ang problema ng Pinoy na nagsusumikap at may kasiguruhan sila na magiging tuloy-tuloy na ang pagbuti ng kanilang sitwasyon.

Kami ay narito para magsilbi at hindi para maghari. Ang mandato ninyo sa amin ay pagbabago – isang malinaw na utos para ayusin ang gobyerno at lipunan mula sa pamahalaang iilan lamang ang nakikinabang tungo sa isang pamahalaang kabutihan ng mamamayan ang pinangangalagaan.

Ang mandatong ito ay isa kung saan kayo at ang inyong pangulo ay nagkasundo para sa pagbabago – isang paninindigan na ipinangako ko noong kampanya at tinanggap ninyo noong araw ng halalan.
Sigaw natin noong kampanya: “Kung walang corrupt, walang mahirap.” Hindi lamang ito pang slogan o pang poster – ito ang mga prinsipyong tinatayuan at nagsisilbing batayan ng ating administrasyon.

Ang ating pangunahing tungkulin ay ang magsikap na maiangat ang bansa mula sa kahirapan, sa pamamagitan ng pagpapairal ng katapatan at mabuting pamamalakad sa pamahalaan.

Ang unang hakbang ay ang pagkakaroon ng tuwid at tapat na hanay ng mga pinuno. Magsisimula ito sa akin. Sisikapin kong maging isang mabuting ehemplo. Hinding hindi ko sasayangin ang tiwalang ipinagkaloob ninyo sa akin. Sisiguraduhin ko na ganito rin ang adhikain ng aking Gabinete at ng mga magiging kasama sa ating pamahalaan.

Naniniwala akong hindi lahat ng nagsisilbi sa gobyerno ay corrupt. Sa katunayan, mas marami sa kanila ay tapat. Pinili nilang maglingkod sa gobyerno upang gumawa ng kabutihan. Ngayon, magkakaroon na sila ng pagkakataong magpakitang-gilas. Inaasahan natin sila sa pagsupil ng korapsyon sa loob mismo ng burukrasya.

Sa mga itinalaga sa paraang labag sa batas, ito ang aking babala: sisimulan natin ang pagbabalik ng tiwala sa pamamagitan ng pag-usisa sa mga “midnight appointments.” Sana ay magsilbi itong babala sa mga nag-iisip na ipagpatuloy ang baluktot na kalakarang nakasanayan na ng marami.

Sa mga kapuspalad nating mga kababayan, ngayon, ang pamahalaan ang inyong kampeon.

Hindi natin ipagpapaliban ang mga pangangailangan ng ating mga estudyante, kaya’t sisikapin nating punan ang kakulangan sa ating mga silid-aralan.

Unti-unti din nating babawasan ang mga kakulangan sa imprastraktura para sa transportasyon, turismo at pangangalakal. Mula ngayon, hindi na puwede ang “puwede na” pagdating sa mga kalye, tulay at gusali dahil magiging responsibilidad ng mga kontratista ang panatilihing nasa mabuting kalagayan ang mga proyekto nila.

Bubuhayin natin ang programang “emergency employment” ng dating pangulong Corazon Aquino sa pagtatayo ng mga bagong imprastraktura na ito. Ito ay magbibigay ng trabaho sa mga local na komunidad at makakatulong sa pagpapalago ng kanila at ng ating ekonomiya.

Hindi kami magiging sanhi ng inyong pasakit at perwisyo. Palalakasin natin ang koleksyon at pupuksain natin ang korapsyon sa Kawanihan ng Rentas Internas at Bureau of Customs para mapondohan natin ang ating mga hinahangad para sa lahat, tulad ng:

· dekalidad na edukasyon, kabilang ang edukasyong bokasyonal para makapaghanap ng marangal na trabaho ang hindi makapag-kolehiyo;

· serbisyong pangkalusugan, tulad ng Philhealth para sa lahat sa loob ng tatlong taon;

· tirahan sa loob ng mga ligtas na komunidad.

Palalakasin at palalaguin natin ang bilang ng ating kasundaluhan at kapulisan, hindi para tugunan ang interes ng mga naghahari-harian, ngunit para proteksyunan ang mamamayan. Itinataya nila ang kanilang buhay para mayroong pagkakataon sa katahimikan at kapayapaan sa sambayanan. Dumoble na ang populasyong kanilang binabantayan, nanatili naman sila sa bilang. Hindi tama na ang nagmamalasakit ay kinakawawa.

Kung dati ay may fertilizer scam, ngayon ay may kalinga na tunay para sa mga magsasaka. Tutulungan natin sila sa irigasyon, extension services, at sa pagbenta ng kanilang produkto sa pinakamataas na presyong maaari.

Inaatasan natin si papasok na Kalihim Alcala na magtayo ng mga trading centers kung saan diretso na ang magsasaka sa mamimili – lalaktawan natin ang gitna, kasama na ang kotong cop. Sa ganitong paraan, ang dating napupunta sa gitna ay maari nang paghatian ng magsasaka at mamimili.

Gagawin nating kaaya-aya sa negosyante ang ating bansa. We will cut red tape dramatically and implement stable economic policies. We will level the playing field for investors and make government an enabler, not a hindrance, to business. Sa ganitong paraan lamang natin mapupunan ang kakulangan ng trabaho para sa ating mga mamamayan.

Layunin nating paramihin ang trabaho dito sa ating bansa upang hindi na kailanganin ang mangibang-bansa para makahanap ng trabaho. Ngunit habang ito ay hindi pa natin naaabot, inaatasan ko ang mga kawani ng DFA, POEA, OWWA at iba pang mga kinauukulang ahensiya na mas lalo pang paigtingin ang pagtugon sa mga hinaing at pangangailangan ng ating mga overseas Filipino workers.

Papaigtingin namin ang proseso ng konsultasyon at pag-uulat sa taumbayan. Sisikapin naming isakatuparan ang nakasaad sa ating Konstitusyon na kinikilala ang karapatan ng mamamayan na magkaroon ng kaalaman ukol sa mga pampublikong alintana.

Binuhay natin ang diwa ng people power noong kampanya. Ipagpatuloy natin ito tungo sa tuwid at tapat na pamamahala. Ang naniniwala sa people power ay nakatuon sa kapwa at hindi sa sarili.

Sa mga nang-api sa akin, kaya ko kayong patawarin, at pinapatawad ko na kayo. Sa mga nang-api sa sambayanan, wala akong karapatan na limutin ang inyong mga kasalanan.

To those who are talking about reconciliation, if they mean that they would like us to simply forget about the wrongs that they have committed in the past, we have this to say: there can be no reconciliation without justice. Sa paglimot ng pagkakasala, sinisigurado mong mauulit muli ang mga pagkakasalang ito. Secretary de Lima, you have your marching orders. Begin the process of providing true and complete justice for all.

Ikinagagalak din naming ibahagi sa inyo ang pagtanggap ni dating Chief Justice Hilario Davide sa hamon ng pagtatatag at pamumuno sa isang Truth Commission na magbibigay linaw sa maraming kahinahinalang isyu na hanggang ngayon ay walang kasagutan at resolusyon.

Ang sinumang nagkamali ay kailangang humarap sa hustisya. Hindi maaaring patuloy ang kalakaran ng walang pananagutan at tuloy na pang-aapi.

My government will be sincere in dealing with all the peoples of Mindanao. We are committed to a peaceful and just settlement of conflicts, inclusive of the interests of all – may they be Lumads, Bangsamoro or Christian.

We shalI defeat the enemy by wielding the tools of justice, social reform, and equitable governance leading to a better life. Sa tamang pamamahala gaganda ang buhay ng lahat, at sa buhay na maganda, sino pa ang gugustuhing bumalik sa panahon ng pang-aapi?

Ito ang kahalagahan ng ating demokrasya. Ito ang pundasyon ng ating pagkakaisa. Nangampanya tayo para sa pagbabago. Dahil dito taas-noo muli ang Pilipino. Tayong lahat ay kabilang sa isang bansa kung saan maaari nang mangarap muli.

To our friends and neighbors around the world, we are ready to take our place as a reliable member of the community of nations, a nation serious about its commitments and which harmonizes its national interests with its international responsibilities.

We will be a predictable and consistent place for investment, a nation where everyone will say, “it all works.”

Inaanyayahan ko kayo ngayon na manumpa sa ating mga sarili, sa sambayanan, WALANG MAIIWAN.

Walang pangingibang-bayan at gastusan na walang wastong dahilan. Walang pagtatalikod sa mga salitang binitawan noong kampanya, ngayon at hanggang sa mga susunod pang pagsubok na pagdadaanan sa loob ng anim na taon.

Kayo ang nagdala sa akin sa puntong ito – ang ating mga volunteers – matanda, bata, celebrity, ordinaryong tao, na umikot sa Pilipinas para ikampanya ang pagbabago; ang aking mga kasambahay, na nag-asikaso ng lahat ng aking mga personal na pangangailangan; ang aking pamilya, kaibigan at katrabaho, na dumamay, nag-alaga at nagbigay ng suporta sa akin; ang ating mga abogado, na nagpuyat para bantayan ang ating mga boto at siguraduhing mabibilang ang bawat isa; ang aking mga kapartido at kaalyado na kasama kong nangahas mangarap; at ang milyun-milyong Pilipinong nagkaisa, nagtiwala at hindi nawalan ng pag-asa – nasa inyo ang aking taus-pusong pasasalamat.

Hindi ko makakayang harapin ang aking mga magulang, at kayong mga nagdala sa akin sa yugto ng buhay kong ito, kung hindi ko maisasakatuparan ang aking mga binitawang salita sa araw na ito.

When Google's AdSense appeared, there were a lot of people who doubted Google's idea would be marketable and actually generate any profits. Yet as we stand here today it's probably the most well known pay per click venture in the world.

Yes, all those nay sayers ended up eating their own words in the end. And that is because the folks at Google never go and do something without assessing whether or not it will be profitable, or exactly how profitable it is.

But of course, as you might very well know, AdSense isn't just profitable for Google. It's also profitable for the people who advertise via AdWords and very profitable for publishers who use it to make earnings which are sometimes just enormous.

So one must ask himself why this is such a good deal for everybody. And the question in itself is very justified because you hardly ever come across something that's profitable for everyone in the chain. So why would AdSense be any different.

Well, AdSense is where it stands today, giving benefits for everybody in the game because it exploits a gap in the Internet's advertising model.

You see, the Internet is a very interactive environment, and its interactions come from the people who are browsing. They choose whether or not to follow a certain link and the term "navigating" is probably the most precise one at describing this situation.

So AdSense is great because it links together buyers and sellers. Yes, you have to hand it out to Google for a brilliant idea. They know there are people out there that want to buy stuff and people who want to sell them what they're interested in. And Google AdSense helps members of the two categories find each other.

It works for the visitors, because the model is very transparent. You don't see a huge graphic banner which tries to lure you into buying something. You just see a few words. And if you like what you see you can just click it. It works because visitors don't have that feeling of someone trying to lure them into spending money. Ironically, however, they're wrong.

It works for the AdWords advertisers because their ads go everywhere. Not only will they find themselves listed in Google's search which gets gazillions of hits per day, up front without working as much for SEO and waiting so much.

Their ads can reach any website that deals with anything similar to what they're trying to sell. Now you must realize they could never pull of such great advertising by themselves. And that brings us to the thing that makes Google's AdSense a publisher's best friend.

It comes from the fact that the ads are contextual, that they somehow related to the keywords you deal with on your page. Because people or on your site, which deals with a certain topic, you already know they're interested in that topic.

But, hey, wait a minute, Google knows some companies which want to sell your visitors something related to their topic. Google wants your visitors, you want Google's advertisers and the visitors just want to buy stuff. And that is the essence of what makes AdSense a great deal for everybody.

This is by far the most profitable hook-up deal you're ever going to see anywhere on the Internet.

So you have to appreciate Google for realizing a killer deal. You have to appreciate how well thought out, yet simple this scheme really is. Sure, in practice it has a few quirks but those are minor and, up to this point everyone seems to be enjoying Google's AdSense.

According to Manny Pacquiao, GOD promised him "power and strength" as long as he would give his unconditional faith to HIM.

Well, that is very, very obvious of Manny. He never ceases to pray and express his thanks to God. He obviously learned this to his mother, Nanay Dionesia.

We always heard this kind of revelation but never from a famous boxer like the Pacman. "Talking to GOD" is a very, very rare opportunity that one could achieve when it comes to unconditional faith. Most of us believe and have faith in God. But, seldom we could hear that someone have encountered GOD and actually talking with HIM.

If this revelation is what I perceived it is, then Manny Pacquiao does not only inspire us filipinos to be more dedicated and hardworking to each and every endeavor that we are trying to achieve, but the Pacman also give us a revealing thought that giving an unconditional faith and love to GOD is a must in order for us to be successful in life.

No doubt, that many of us are always wondering why we are not still successful in life inspite of our dedication and hardwork to our respective jobs and businesses. And that is because, we miss the "...giving of an unconditional faith to GOD."

We have faith in God, yet when it comes to doing our respective jobs and businesses, most of us put our faith to ourselves. We always think that we know what to do and rely to our sheer knowledge and talent. Very. very rare in our endeavor that we involved God in our struggle towards success. And, sad to say most of us remember GOD, only - when we are already a failure.

Cotto really a man with "word of honor"... when he said he will be going to surprised Manny Pacquiao with his new found style in boxing and that is "dancing-away" or "back-pedaling". A boxing style of a battered boxer which Miguel Cotto surprisingly showed to Pacman and to the world, how it should be done.

Super typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) is just another wake up call for us filipinos. The floods that Ondoy surprisingly brought to Metro Manila and neighboring provinces were so devastating. It never chooses what economic status you are in. The flash flood was so swept that everybody were caught unprepared. Lives and properties were snatched and destroyed right then and there. This is the effect of Climate Change.

Yes, Climate Change. Where every government in every nations in the world were already aware of, since the landmark 1992 Framework Convention on Climate Change (FCCC) and the succeeding Kyoto Agreement. However, peoples all over the world did not and do not care about it. Global emissions are still increasing instead of reducing since then. We care less about climate change. Until, of course, you became a victim of it. Just like the victims of super typhoon Ondoy.

Forty years ago, we were only second to Japan in economic stature, and way ahead of Singapore , Hong Kong, Malaysia , and Thailand .
Today, at our present growth rate, it will take us 30 years to get to where Thailand is.

1. A population of 160 Million;

2. Of those, 70 to 90 million (equivalent to our current population) will live below the poverty line;

3. Our national debt is estimated to be at US$ 200B(compared to US$28B when Marcos fled, and US$53B today);

4. We will be competing, not against Thailand or even Vietnam , but against Bangladesh ;

5. We will be the most corrupt nation in Asia , if not in the world (we're already ranked 11th most corrupt nation by Transparency International) ..
The signs are clear: Our nation is headed towards an irreversible path of economic decline and moral decadence. It is not for lack of effort.
We've seen many men and women of integrity in and out of government, NGOs, church groups & people's organization devote themselves to the task of nation-building, often times against insurmountable odds.
But not even two people's revolutions, bloodless as they may be, have made a dent in reversing this trend. At best, we have moved one step forward, but three steps backward.
We need a force far greater than our collective efforts, as a people, can ever hope to muster. It is time to move the battle to the spiritual realm. It's time to claim GOD's promise of healing of the land for His people. It's time to gather GOD's people on its knees to pray for the economic recovery and moral reformation of our nation.
Is prayer really the answer? Before you dismiss this as just another rambling of a religious fanatic, I'd like you to consider some lessons we can glean from history.
England's ascendancy to world power was preceded by the Reformation, a spiritual revival fueled by intense prayers...
The early American settlers built the foundation that would make it the most powerful nation today - a strong faith in GOD and a disciplined prayer life. Throughout its history, and especially at its major turning points, waves of revival and prayer movement swept across the land.
In recent times, we see Korea as a nation experiencing revival and in the process producing the largest Christian church in the world today, led by Rev. Paul Yongi Cho. No wonder it has emerged as a strong nation when other economies around it are faltering.
Even from a purely secular viewpoint, it makes a lot of sense. For here there is genuine humbling & seeking of GOD through prayer, moral reformation necessarily follows. And this, in turn, will lead to general prosperity.
YES, we believe prayer can make a difference. It's our only hope.

I am curious to find out what really the Peter Answers all about? So, I tried the website itself which is of course the www.peteranswers.com

UN sees more people going hungry in Philippines as rice prices soar. This is the title of the report by a certain Cecil Morella filed in Yahoo News last Friday March 07, 2008 1:25PM ET which I just noticed and immediately browsed and read while ago.

It is so alarming and so disappointing if this report will be true. But this scenario is now inevitable as what the report says, and I quote:

With prices of rice and wheat spiking in recent months, World Food Programme country director Valerie Guarnieri told AFP, "I think there's a possibility that the government would have to feed more people because of rising prices."

"Price rises mean people who previously were able to meet their own food needs through the market with their own income have been sort of pushed over that precipice and are no longer able to feed their families," Guarnieri said.

"So we see people who suddenly now would be eligible for assistance," she said, adding: "We're seeing it in many countries."

The UN agency now provides food aid to about 1.1 million of the Philippines' 90 million people.

Why this things must be happened? Philippines is considered as one of the top rice producing countries in Asia. Even our science and technology techniques in producing rice were even studied and adopted by our neighboring countries.

I Got Measles

I am force to be absent from my work today. I thought I got only fever. But just a few hours after taking my breakfast with an egg, red rashes appearing in my body. I Got Measles! Oh My God!

I could not believe it. At my own age I could still be infected with this kind of virus. According to Wikipedia, Measles, also known as rubeola, is a disease caused by a virus, specifically a paramyxovirus of the genus Morbillivirus.

Furthermore, The classical symptoms of measles include a fever for at least three days, and the three Cs—cough, coryza (runny nose) and conjunctivitis (red eyes). The fever may reach up to 40° Celsius (104° Fahrenheit). It is really contagious because last week one of my co-workers had it and she did not take a leave of absent until her measles are gone. And, It think I got it from her.

The virus is transmitted in respiratory secretions, and can be passed from person to person via aerosol droplets containing virus particles, such as those produced by a coughing patient. By the way, if you are one of my members in my agloco network, I would like to apologized to you all, for this development or turn of events with agloco. If you ask me what happen to agloco? I am sorry to tell you my friend, I do not have any idea or knowledge whatsoever about its stoppage. But nevertheless I would like to encourage you to subscribe still in this blog. Update on Cash Distibutions to AGLOCO Members

Since AGLOCO started its Viewbar in June, we have been working to deliver an early money distribution plan that will be work for both Members and AGLOCO at this time. It was decided to start with the AGLOCO Monthly Residual Payments. These are small monthly payments which will be made for hours earned each month and paid monthly for 10 years. The following rates have been set (amounts are expressed in US currency):

• June $0.48 per hour - ($0.0040 per month for 120 months)
• July $0.42 per hour - ($0.0035 per month for 120 months)
• August $0.54 per hour - ($0.0045 per month for 120 months)

AGLOCO Monthly Residual Payments become payable when declared such by AGLOCO. We are working to add the accounting feature to the account page to show this to each Member, but that will not be available until after all the Ask.com features have been integrated.

In addition to the AGLOCO Monthly Residual Payments hours may become eligible for Bonus Payments. If AGLOCO exceeds expectations and builds funds in excess of reserves needed it may be possible to make AGLOCO Bonus Payments. We do not expect this to happen anytime in the near future. The details on the Bonus Payments and the Monthly Residual payments will be placed on the account page along with the accounting display.

1. How is AGLOCO doing financially?

As you know AGLOCO launched stating it would make Member distributions when it was profitable. On this blog we said we would update you on the company results at the end of the summer. During the last three months, June, July and August, AGLOCO lost slightly more than $100,000. (As you are aware the Development team is still working for free. And also, the Development team and some of their friends are the source of the $100,000 so that AGLOCO can pay its bills.) The AGLOCO losses are getting smaller each month and at this point, we anticipate the September loss will be $10,000 to $15,000.

2. Will checks for the AGLOCO Monthly Residual Payments go out in October?

We would love to say definitely yes, but we can’t. So we will say Yes IF. The IF for the most part is how successful our Ask.com partnership is in generating revenue. As with most things in AGLOCO, it will really depend on the Members. It is Member use of the Ask.com search function that will answer the question of distributions in October.

While Ask.com will also become the dominant supplier of our US and Canada ads, we believe that as a global company AGLOCO currently will get the most revenue from the Ask.com search ads.

3. How will I get my money?

First AGLOCO puts money into your account at AGLOCO which you will be able to see on your account page. At present, Members may ask that a check be sent to them. AGLOCO will set up a couple of online payment systems like PayPal and will also set up an ACH system. If there is a cost to make the transfer, the Member will pay it – so that other Members do not have to bear that expense. A minimum for transferring money out will be set.

Since the account pages will not have the financial data available on them for several weeks, we will contact any Member who has earned over $100 to ask if they want a check now. (There are a number of you who get in this group very quickly).

4. Will I be able to sell my hours to other Members?

A number of requests have come from Members wanting to buy or sell hours. Currently AGLOCO does not allow the transfer of hours. AGLOCO is planning to change this and allow for Members to transfer hours. To do so it will be necessary for AGLOCO to suspend any consideration of exchanging hours for AGLOCO shares, otherwise trading hours would not be possible in some countries and would be too difficult (and expensive) for AGLOCO to regulate. We would like Member feedback on this issue prior to implementing it, so please make comments on this post.

AGLOCO will have to add the technical ability to transfer hours to each Member’s account database before the ability to sell will be possible. AGLOCO will probably limit transfers to at least 100 or more hours per transfer so that tracking this does not become a burden. If there is any cost to this, it will be borne by the Member doing the transfer so that all Members do not bear this cost.

5. How much will I be able to sell my hours for?

We anticipate that some Members will set up private exchanges or Members may use existing auction sites like eBay (assuming rules and escrows are met.) Therefore the price of hours will depend on the open market. And thus, the price is liable to fluctuate.

But my way of support to this fight because I feel that our Filipino Women are being molested and raped in the World Wide Web.

August Update for Agloco

Revenue – We are near completion with one of two improved revenue agreements. These should be implemented in August. They should greatly enhance September’s revenue in search and North American ad revenue. We are also in negotiations with one European network, to improve revenue there. We are in need of better networks in China, Brazil, India, Korea and Japan. We also need a network in the Middle East. If any Member has any leads on those, please post your ideas in the comment section.

Tech Update - The tech team reported that the fix to the August hours will be occurring on Thursday the 9th. Until that time the display will not show correct August hours. The last three weeks have consumed our tech team with server improvements – this did not go as the team had anticipated with load balancing problems at the ISP. This should be resolved shortly and they can get back to the other pressing needs of AGLOCO. As we change to improved servers the AGLOCO website will be down for a period of time (the amount of time will depend on where in the world the Member is that is trying to reach the site). People will see a notice page saying we are doing maintenance. Projects like updating the website and emails to all Members will then be attended to.

As Brian mentioned in his recorded interview last week (described below), he is spending more time on the revenue team and will be focusing more on getting money for the community and less on this blog. So to pick up the slack, various members of the AGLOCO Development Team will write some of the posts going forward. The blog will still be Brian’s so if you have comments or questions about it, please continue to address them with him at bgreenwald@agloco.com.

Updating the website - We let this slide (too far) as we worked first on the Viewbar and then on revenue. We are currently moving and upgrading the site servers and this should be done in a week. After this is complete the tech team will change the website.

Another update email to Members – This is ready to go out and should also be done when the new servers are finished.

Media – As some Members have noted, Brian recently gave a recorded interview. Basis for CASH Distributions

Here are three of the potential ways AGLOCO can pay Members. As you know, when you use the Viewbar you accumulate hours (currently up to 5 hours/month, and plus a credit of referral hours at a 25% rate). These hours, both your monthly totals and your overall accumulated hours, are the basis for cash distributions.

Monthy Viewbar hours:

Based on the hours you and your referrals surf each month, you will get a share of the “distribution pie”. Your share is equal to your percentage of the total hours accumulated by all Members (including referral hours). How would this work? Here is a hypothetical example. Suppose in a given month AGLOCO distributes $100,000 for that month’s hour accumulation. Also suppose that the total hours all Members have accumulated that month is 1,000,000 hours. This means that AGLOCO would pay $0.10 for each hour you are credited with that month. So in this example if you had accumulated (yourself plus referrals) 500 hours that month, you would be paid $50.

Total Viewbar hours:

AGLOCO may also pay in the same manner as above based on total accumulated hours. This would “weight” the payment more towards those Members who joined and began accumulating hours earlier (including the time before the cash payouts have begun).

AGLOCO buying Hours for Cash:

Here’s how it would work. AGLOCO would set a price per hour (say, $0.15), and we allow Members to sell their hours back to us at that rate. There would likely be a minimum number of hours you could sell. For instance, AGLOCO may only allow you to sell in 100-hour blocks. Hours that you sell would be deducted from your total accumulated hours for future distributions.

Disclaimer: The Above Examples and Figures of Earnings Presented are not the Actual Earnings that a Member of AGLOCO could Get. It is just a presentation of How the Cash Distibutions might be done for easy understanding and for the information of everybody. This is also to inform you that nobody not even the AGLOCO Development Team has the exact knowledge on How Much Each and Every Member of AGLOCO will going to Earn. But What is Sure here, as per my Own Understanding and Belief, is that We Will be Going to Earn Some Cash from AGLOCO. Just do not ask me How Much... Okay? Just Join Me Now!

Below is an excerpt from Brian's newly posted update which I quote. In this post he tackled about the cash payments that will be given to all agloco members and explains When are the cash payouts going to begin?

The simple answer is that it depends on “when AGLOCO makes enough money to both pay Members and be a sustainable business”. But, by using the Viewbar you are accumulating credit towards the cash payments right now (more on that below). I have spoken about this on the blog twice before: Also, as some Members have correctly pointed out, AGLOCO’s early revenue will not immediately translate into cash distributions to Members. While we do not know how large our initial revenue will be, we do know that AGLOCO has operating costs to pay. It is important to remember that AGLOCO is not a “get rich quick scheme”, and we maintain that the most prudent way to build AGLOCO as a sustainable company is to calibrate Member distributions to company earnings. As such, the cash payouts will not begin until there is a comfortable balance between AGLOCO’s free cash flow and AGLOCO’s expenses. It is important to add that all Members will begin to accumulate hours from when they first start using the Viewbar (and referral hours will also be earned). Those hours will not be wasted. Both overall hours and monthly hours will be used in determining distributions to Members.

Cash Distributions: To be a sustainable entity in the long term, AGLOCO makes Member cash distributions from its positive cash flow (revenue minus costs). Therefore, please do not expect a check after the first couple of months as it will take time to collect revenue from advertisers and this revenue must exceed costs in order to make cash distributions to Members. We will be keeping Members informed of our financials and you can visit the Official company blog at http://blog.agloco.com for the latest updates.

It is being emphasized here that cash distributions will not be given till we have a clear and comfortable balance between AGLOCO's free cash flow and AGLOCO's expenses. Most of us already are using the viewbar but it is assured that the referral hours that we accumulated will not be wasted. Because this will be used as a determining factor for a cash distributions to each and every Agloco Members.

How much money that we are talking here? Nobody knows yet. Even the Agloco Development Team could not tell the exact figure or amount that each and every Members could earn. What is concrete here is that every Member could make money with agloco when the time comes.

It is sad to note that there are disgruntled members or individuals who are expecting that they could "get rich quick" with agloco. They are posting their negative thoughts against agloco as if they are investing millions for this company. I just could not imagine how they understand the ideas and concept of Agloco.

Well, anyway I would like to ask and warned everyone specially those who want to join Agloco that please do not take it seriously when you chance upon those negative posts. Please, just bear in mind that we still surf the internet whether we join agloco or not. Agloco give us a choice if we would like to earn a few dollars while doing the usual thing which is surfing the internet.

Of course, a lot of us choice to join because we believe that we have nothing to lose. It is simple thing to do - first become a member of agloco then download the viewbar and then when you surf the internet activate the viewbar. And then, if you may, used the features available in the viewbar such as google searching and etc. Then you earned...! That's it! however not that much. But eventually you make money nevertheless. If and ever if that you want more earnings then you have the freedom to recruit anybody you wanted to (in order to build your own agloco network). But just remember it is your choice.

Agloco's idea and concept is so simple as that! and the good thing here it is free to join. So...?

We will continue to monitor this.

Above is an update from Brian announcing that the viewbar downloads is now available at tucows.com. In order, to help free up our Agloco servers to accommodate website traffics. I tried to visit my agloco account and it is true that the connection is no longer congested and I could easily access to the official agloco site.

What this means? It means that you can now join agloco and enroll as my direct referrals with ease. No more broken links and no more errors in signing-up.

AGLOCO CRAWLS BEFORE FLYING

Brian just posted an update entitled "WALK BEFORE RUNNING" but I rather entitled it "Crawl Before Flying". For me AGLOCO at first is crawling like a caterpillar then undergo a "metamorphosis" inside a cocoon which eventually become a Butterfly.
Well, anyway, it is just a metaphor that is pleasant to contemplate with - specially when you been with agloco since it started last November 2006. We experienced all kinds of discouragement due to the delay of the viewbar released. Yet today and onwards we could sing with gusto this beautiful song: (in a tune of Fly, fly, fly the Butterfly...)

Now that AGLOCO has launched the Viewbar (we released it on June 4th so we are 8 days “old”), we should start to make steady progress. Here’s a big picture view of where we’re going over the next few months. I see things in three major phases, with some overlap between them.

The first order of business is to get the Viewbar (and our website) stable – with rotating ads.

Viewbar Stability: We will be releasing an updated version of the Viewbar software within a week that will take care of some of the remaining ‘bugs’, and we will continue to stabilize the software. If you already have the Viewbar, you do not need to do anything to get this new version, as your Viewbar should automatically self-update with it. For the most part it seems these remaining ‘bugs’ appear minor and only affect a very limited number of members. This is good. This means we can put our primary emphasis on the next phase of the Viewbar while leaving a small team to work on the minor bugs.
Website Stability: We will be making the Viewbar software available on one trusted alternate download site (we are picking it now and it will be all set up before we send a Viewbar download “reminder” email to the Membership). This should help our servers balance the website traffic with the stress of the download process. We will continue to make adjustments and improvements to our servers in order to improve performance for those browsing (so there are no disruptions to the sign-up process for new Members in the future).
Ad rotation: We are working with the ad server people to optimize this process. The way they initially rotated the ads was crashing their servers with all the Viewbars asking for ads, so they have needed to improvise. Now it seems that some Members are getting rotating ads and others aren’t, depending on browser settings and computer environment. They are working on solutions so their ads show up on all Viewbars, regardless of computer environment or settings. I do not know how long this will take, but we have seen a steady improvement in the number of users who get rotating ads, so it seems progress is being made.

The next phase for AGLOCO is the maximizing of Viewbar revenue. This is an important goal, as we have fairly fixed costs so the more revenue we generate (especially more revenue per Viewbar), the more each Member will receive. There are lots of steps that will need to be taken in the coming months to improve AGLOCO’s revenue including:

Improving our search and ad revenue sources and sharing agreements. As more Members use the Viewbar, our bargaining power grows.
Start the Viewbar targeting system. One part of this system will focus ads based on your searches and surfing. Another part of this system will focus ads based on where you live (of course, AGLOCO will need to have a contract with ad networks in each of these countries to provide local ads in local countries).
Better inform Members of the revenue generating opportunities on the Viewbar.
Continue to work with existing Members who have not yet activated their Viewbars. We expect that after the initial spike of downloads this process will be one of gradual adoption. New Members signing up will have access to the Viewbar right away.
Continue to make improvements to encourage continued viral growth of the AGLOCO Membership. This includes website improvements, increased Viewbar functionality, and an opt-in Member-to-Member communication system.

Maximizing revenue is extremely important to AGLOCO, since cash distributions will come from AGLOCO’s positive earnings (revenue exceeding expenses). There is some information available on the AGLOCO website and in previous posts to this blog, but I will talk more about this important stage of AGLOCO’s future in my next post. I won’t be giving exact payment dates nor a fixed hourly rate prediction (as AGLOCO cannot predict future revenues per Member), but I will talk more about how the distributions will work.

The Real Picture of What You Earned with AGLOCO

The above image is my actual hours accumulated after I exhausted my five (5) hour limit in using the agloco viewbar. It shows 5.0 as posted in the Referral Hour Table adjacent to the "YOU" column. Then, my wife used her viewbar and also exhausted the hour limit which in turn posted in my account as 1.2 as shown in my "direct referrals" table which is supposed to be 1.25 hours to be exact. When my daughter's turn to used her viewbar and also exhausted the hour limit the same figure reflected in my Referral Hours account table under the "extended referrals" which is 1.2.

But take note, when it added my total hours, it shows 2.5 accumulated hours which represents the 25% of the total of 10 hours accumulated from my direct and extended referrals. 25% is the percentage we could get from our referrals as stated in the Agloco Official site.

Also, if you notice it only added the hours accumulated by my direct and indirect referrals. My own hours are not included in the computations.

This is a good start to earn from Agloco but hopefully my other referrals learn already by now that the Agloco viewbar is ready for download. Sad to say up to now my brother and other relatives could not download the viewbar from agloco site because of overload and congestions.

We have made a work around regarding the ad server problem and we will finally be launching the Viewbar. Some, but not all, of our ad networks will be connected. These networks have enough ads on them, so we are comfortable releasing the software as we continue to work on the outstanding issues that remain with the other networks. All of the preliminary Viewbar functions are there, but with the ad problems we will not be initially launching with the personalized ad targeting. We will continue to develop this capability after we have launched and when it is available the new version of the software will be incorporated into your viewbar automatically.

Remember that this is the first version of the Viewbar (v1.0), and with the Viewbar being automatically self-updating software, gradual improvement (both aesthetically and functionally) will appear seamlessly (you also have an option to turn off this feature and ask for updates manually, though we recommend leaving the auto-updating feature active so that you always have the latest software as improvements are made).

This weekend the Viewbar download is being moved from the test servers to the main servers. We will NOT need to temporarily take down the web site as we had thought, so we will not be sending out an email warning on that. If the transfer goes smoothly, the first download emails will be going out Monday morning California time (early Tuesday in Asia).

Please remember:

If you have a Norton firewall you may be asked to allow access to “viewbar.exe” and “update.exe” (please check “Permit Access Always” for proper installation of the Viewbar).

The Viewbar is currently available for Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista and will work with IE (Internet Explorer) or Firefox browsers.

John Chow Tested the Agloco Viewbar

I am so excited tonight because I found out, while visiting my technorati watchlist where the John Chow Dot Com is one of the URLs I included, that an Agloco Viewbar is actually used by the Dot Com Mogul himself. From his post 15,000 AGLOCO Sign Ups I could say that the Agloco Viewbar really exist!

The AGLOCO Viewbar is real and it does exist. I know because I’m using it right now. Akshay Mavani sent me a beta Viewbar to try out and give my impressions. - John Chow explained further and I quote:

The Viewbar software is a 1.8 MB download. When installed, it takes up 5 MB of space. The Viewbar is not any bigger than the Windows task bar. The version I am running shows ads by Google and Google is the default search engine.
Besides allowing us to make money while surfing the Internet, the Viewbar does offer some useful tools. It has a nice Google search box and keeps tracks of all your favorites from Internet Explore and FireFox. There is also a quick link to the Windows calculator and calendar.

As mentioned previously, our delaying item is getting our partners’ ad servers to ‘talk’ correctly to the Viewbar. The ads are not targeted at the moment because it hits only one ad server. The rest of the ad servers have not been connected.

Right after I posted the "AGLOCO Viewbar Update" regarding the email which I received from Mr. Dan Jorgensen Member Coordinator of Agloco Development Team, Brian also just posted in the Agloco Official Blog the "Viewbar Update", below is a quote from that post:

I am currently working with an AGLOCO Viewbar on my screen. As several of you have asked questions about it, here are a couple of quick comments:

- It is very similar to the Viewbar that is pictured on the AGLOCO website
- I have tested the Viewbar features (search, favorites, options, install, uninstall, minimize, etc.) and it is working smoothly on my machine
- There will be a major test of the ad servers tomorrow to see if all the known bugs have been corrected

All Members should have received an update email (I have copied it at the bottom of this post). If you are a Member and did not get an email over the weekend you need to correct this, as it is the only way to get the Viewbar notice with downloading instructions. If you did not get it, try going into your account to make sure we have a current email address on file (if it is correct and you still did not get an email, check your junk/spam folders).

The next email you should receive on this subject will be one that mentions that our servers will be down for a few hours while we load the Viewbar onto the system. This month of March marked AGLOCO. One of my referrals just called me up, asking me if she, as a Member, should need to recruit and build her own AGLOCO network. I told her it is her choice. AGLOCO does not require Members to recruit but AGLOCO urges or encourages Members to recruit.

And I reminded her of the auto email which she received after confirming her membership to AGLOCO. The email entitled "Thank you for confirming your AGLOCO Membership!" :

AGLOCO needs your help to grow the network. Over 90% of all new Members are
referred by existing Members. The larger the AGLOCO community grows,the more
valuable it becomes for all Members, and the more you can earn yourself.

Month of March is here. As reported by Brian of AGLOCO Company Blog the Agloco Viewbar is currently slated for March release. Sad to note, however, lots of Agloco Members ( I am one of them) expected that it will be released on March first or first week of March.

Well, to pacify the doubts and negative speculations regarding the Viewbar in particular and to AGLOCO in general, Brian posted this, and I quote:

Viewbar release: A few weeks ago, I said on this blog, “The
Viewbar is currently slated for a March release”, and March 1st is now upon us
(a couple of you were optimistic and hoped for a release on the first of the
month). I know that the Viewbar will not be released in the first half of March.
Our tech lead flew to Shanghai this morning to work directly with our six
engineers there. I’ll give you more of an update when I hear back from
him.

The March target, and all the dates we have projected for the Viewbar
release, have been based solely upon our Engineers’ best estimates. I have asked
our head techie for a firmer date, but he hasn’t given one to me. If I press
him, he can give me an estimate, but he cannot be sure. Anyone who has worked
with software engineers knows that they don’t like giving estimates because they
know problems come up all the time in software development.

So, it is clear that the Viewbar, as I should say, is in the state of fine tuning for
its best performance when used by the Members. I rather prefer to wait and go on recruiting than force the issue of releasing the viewbar which definitely will give disaster results.

No spamming:

Number of Internet Hours:

The maximum number of payable hours per month is currently 5. Over time, depending on several variables that number may change at AGLOCO™ ’s discretion. Active Surfing:

You have to actively surf to earn cash for your online usage. Just keeping a website up does not constitute active surfing. If you use a software piracy device that constantly clicks through websites, AGLOCO™ ’s anti-hacking instruments will detect and – after investigation – disconnect your account. In addition, you have to be an active online Member in order to get the benefit of your referrals' surfing. If you surf only 50% of the maximum payable hours a month, and your referrals each surf 100%, you will be credited with only 50% of the payable surfing time for each referral. Accuracy of Information:

All information submitted during signup must be accurate; members who deal with AGLOCO™ in a fraudulent fashion will forfeit their memberships, their account balance, and their referrals. 5. Do I need to buy anything?

26. Do I need to have the Viewbar up all the time?

No! Currently AGLOCO™ will reward up to five hours a month in Viewbar time. Above that limit, you can keep your Viewbar displayed or minimize it at any time, though most of the Members choose to keep it up. If you don’t want your Viewbar to operate at any specific time, just minimize it and it will stop working. However, you will not earn online hours while your Viewbar is minimized.

27. Will I be able to minimize the viewbar?

Yes! You can minimize the Viewbar any time and it will stop working. However, you will not accumulate any online hours while the Viewbar is minimized.

28. Can I use more than one computer?

You can install the Viewbar™software on multiple computers and get credit for your surfing regardless of which machine you use. However, you cannot use the Viewbar™ on more than one machine simultaneously. Just download and install the Viewbar™ software on each machine you use to surf the Web.

29. How do I change my email address?

You can go to the profile section and change your email address. Don't forget to click on "Save" to upload your profile.

30. What if I want to quit?

There are no obligations to maintain your Membership, you may quit at any time. If you cancel your account, you forfeit any balance accumulated below the minimum payout level. As what is promised by the AGLOCO Development Team the agloco viewbar will be released on february or maybe early march of this year. Today, is 8 of february meaning the viewbar will be now coming soon! The Day of the viewbar is already numbered. The earliest is on the 15th of this month which is 7 days from now and the latest is on the 15th of march which is 35 days from now. Whichever is the date, the viewbar will surely be coming very very soon.

Come to think of it, people who still not signed-up as an agloco member will decrease his/her chances to become one of the founders of agloco as the day goes by. Their chances become slimmer and slimmer everyday. Then, after the viewbar is released those who signed-in for membership is now tag as after viewbar (AV) Member to separate them from the before viewbar (BV) Member.( btw, the BV and the AV is just my tag it is not official yet?)
