Tata Nano a People's Car

Tata Nano

Only for $2,500.00 you can now own a new people's car named Tata Nano. This car is made and designed for the lower income bracket of our society which a majority of us belongs. Thanks to Indian automaker Tata Motors. Let us hope that the Tata Nano will bring to the next level the automaking industry worldwide specially in People's Car category.

Here is one of the highlights of the Tata Nano:

Fuel-efficient engine

Tata NanoThe People’s Car has a rear-wheel drive, all-aluminium, two-cylinder, 623 cc, 33 PS, multi point fuel injection petrol engine.
This is the first time that a two-cylinder gasoline engine is being used in a car with single balancer shaft. The lean design strategy has helped minimise weight, which helps maximise performance per unit of energy consumed and delivers high fuel efficiency. Performance is controlled by a specially designed electronic engine management system.

This car is too small, too weak to go into the highway. Yes,It is very affordable, yet there's not much safety features in the design of the car. This car, obviously does'nt fit in the roads of the Philippines.

If you have seen the deaths on motorbikes, you will agree there is no comparison between a dangerous, totally open, exposed motorcycle that cannot even stand on its own and a safer Nano car. The Nano wins hands down! I want one for every member of my family. With the congested traffic we have in Metro Manila, the Nano is a sure winner; much like the Mitsubishi Minica was (just do the math in gasoline savings). Sgd: Luis MaƱeru, Alabang, Philippines
